Why Ascent Prime exists

Ascent Prime started with watching people we know get burned: deposits taken on work that never started, remodels abandoned halfway, "licensed" contractors who weren't. The pattern was always the same — good people picking contractors off a search page with no way to know who was real. So we built the thing we wished existed: one company that already did the vetting, costs homeowners nothing, and stays in the room until the work is done.

We're based in Lynnwood, and we work with homeowners everywhere within about two hours of Everett — Snohomish County, Whidbey and Camano Islands, Skagit County, and north King County. Every contractor we match is registered with Washington L&I, bonded, and insured, and we check standing before every match.

There's no sponsorship tier, no featured placement, no way to buy a recommendation. Contractors get on our list by doing good work and staying responsive, and they stay on it the same way. If the work slips or the calls stop getting answered, they're off — that's the whole rule.

When we match you, the pick is based on fit: who's actually done your kind of project, who has room in their schedule, whose past work we can stand behind. Not who paid for the spot.

The vetting, the match, the permit help, the follow-through — none of it comes with a bill for the homeowner. No fee, no subscription, no obligation to hire anyone we introduce. If you hire the contractor we match you with, you pay their bid directly. That's the entire arrangement.
